About Edith & Mae

Nine years ago, Mae and I were sitting at my kitchen table, frustrated. We kept buying clothes that looked beautiful on the hanger and fell apart by spring, or fit perfectly in the shop and felt wrong the moment we got home.

So we made a decision. If we couldn't find what we were looking for, we'd make it ourselves.

That's really how Edith & Mae started. No business plan, no investor meetings. Just two women who wanted a wardrobe they could actually trust.

What Matters to Us

We still ask ourselves the same question before anything new goes into our collection: would we actually wear this?

Not for a photoshoot. Not for one season. Would we reach for it on a Tuesday morning, or pack it without overthinking it, or wear it to dinner and still feel like ourselves?

Comfort comes first — always. Soft fabrics, shapes that fit real bodies, cuts that don't demand you hold your breath. Timeless over trendy, because we're not interested in dressing you for a moment. We want to dress you for years.

Shaped by Real Women

Here's something we don't say enough: so much of what we do now, we learned from you.

You told us when a waistband sat wrong. You told us which pieces became your favorites and which ones stayed on the hanger. You shared what made you feel good — and what didn't. We took notes. We still do.

Every piece we add to the collection has been shaped by real women living real lives. That matters to us more than any trend report ever could.

The Way We Work

We're not a big company, and we don't want to be. We take our time choosing fabrics. We obsess over fit. We only send out something we're genuinely proud of.

It's not complicated. We just care — about the clothes, and about the women wearing them.
